Bethany Olson is a drama student at Little Rock Parkview Arts & Science High School. Olson was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on July 10, 1999. Olson spends a lot of her time with dance which is her first love she also enjoys attending football games. She is a strong follower in Christ and loves to give back to the community. In her free time she likes to travel and help the needy.
One of the most recent plays Olson was in was “The Wiz” where she played as the Yellow Brick Road. She says one thing she enjoys about acting is that it challenges her to do things she’s never done before. In fact she says her role as the Yellow Brick Road was her big role in a play. In her future she plans to focus more on being able to portray more than one character.
Olson has done workshops with Parkview’s Thespian Club at the Thespian festival. She was first inspired to act when she seen others on stage acting and she thought that would be fun to do. Then she said she got to Parkview and saw our theatre program and knew she wanted to one day do that. Although she acted before coming to Parkview our school had a major impact on her continuing to act. She said of her first time on stage as it being pretty nerve racking considering it was her very first time on stage.
Olson will be in this year’s version of “Murder Mystery”. It takes place in the west in a small city, a murder has taken place and the civilians of this city are trying to figure out who is the murderer. She will be playing the character Cowgirl Sally. Sally has just made it to town and is just trying to figure out what’s going on. Olson says this will be an awesome show and very suspenseful, probably one of the best Parkview has ever had! YOU DON’T WANT TO MISS IT!
Olson is a great actor and even better friend. I thoroughly enjoyed interviewing Bethany as I got to learn more about her. She’s truly an amazing person! Be on the lookout people this one right here will be something special for sure!
